Why SFC, Ret. Kenneth L. is Triggering the Vote: September 24, 2009
I stayed a member of the Armed Forces for over 20 years to keep the country the same as when my grandparents and parents grew up. So that everyone would have a vote in the happenings of events that affected them, to include the Right of Free Speech, the Right to Bear Arms and the Right to be free of Political Decision...SO Stand Up and be counted as someone who feels these rights should be left alone and remain here for the people forever.
Robert H. Tells Us Why the Second Amendment & The Heritage of Hunting is Important? September 22, 2009
Let me start back when I was 9 years old, back in 1967. I was helping my father and others in the community run twin lead tv wire from atop the highest mountain in the community. While doing this, one of the people helping noticed a red squirrel in a nearby tree and the season was in. Someone said, "Bob" (me) never has bagged a squirrel. So, one of them hopped on their Honda Trail 90, went home and brought back a .20 gauge over and under. After showing me how to operate the gun, one of them walked around the back of the tree, turning the squirrel and I pulled the trigger. All there, congratulated me.
It was a big deal needless to say to a nine year old who had never bagged a squirrel. Well that was the start of everything for me as far as hunting, enjoying the outdoors and appreciating the changing of the seasons, etc. I look forward to hunting season every year, as many people do.
Why JoAnne S. Wants To Trigger The Vote: September 21, 2009
Because I have been involved in hunting and shooting...and been an NRA member most all my married life, having met my husband, who lives, eats, breathes and rejoices in the shooting sports.
Because I fully understand that the 2nd Amendment is about freedom and protecting our Constitution....NOT about guns.
Because I care about my rights, as a 65 yr old female, to be able to protect myself if my husband is not here to do that for me!
